I am not the typical medium you probably hear or read about; one who was immediately aware of their abilities since they were very young; quite the opposite for me. For most of my life, the awareness of any spiritual phenomena or, ghostly activity was nowhere on my radar. For the most part, I had a pretty “normal” life. It wasn’t until I was in my 40’s that I began to subtly become aware that something beyond me was beginning to present.
About halfway through my 20-year career in the United States Air Force, around the year 2000, I was diagnosed with a form of kidney disease. I was then told that more than likely it would progress to kidney failure and that I would more than likely need a kidney transplant. This news completely rocked my world! I began to find myself doing an awful lot of soul searching and constantly trying to make sense out of everything and, I mean everything. And, looking back now, I feel that that medical situation was the spark that possibly put me on the path to becoming a medium.
